No way! Kind of makes me wish I kept Silver.. Although I don't plan on flying anywhere this year with AA.. Even though I have about 110k miles.

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

just got a notification from Mint Bills, and then logged into my barclay's account and voila.

If getting charged full amount, downgrading to red. The priority has switched from travel to home purchase. Can upgrade later.

thats pretty neat, I wonder what made them only charge you the red fee. I plan to negotiate some retention bonus in the form of a waived AF, otherwise I will downgrade to the free version. Would be interesting to see if it will retain its WE status like another poster has reported.
