I've had amazing success with Barclays these past few days, and had to share! Just a little history. I got the Barclays Rewards MC one month ago today, with a $1,500 SCL. Tried to recon immediatly following approval for CLI. No dice. Called back a few weeks later, and successfully increased Cl to $3,000. Just a few days ago, I went to redeem 1,000 points I had accumulated. To my surprise, online, it was telling me that the minimum to redeem was 2,500 points. I was not happy, as my T&C specifically indicate redeemable at 1,000 points. I called customer care and was transferred to a relations manager. She confirmed my T&C, and opened a case for me. She asked if there was anything else she could do for me. I asked for a lower APR. There was not an APR reduction offer, "only" a CLI offer, as she stated. I was pretty ecstatic at this point. Of course accepted the SP CLI for $1,000. Especially since I am in the garden! Current CL $4,000. Fast forward to today. I called and asked for a manager to check the status of my case. It was still pending approval. I asked again about lower APR, lol. The manager, instead, offered a product upgrade to Arrival WMC with no AF!!! He said I didn't qualify for the 40,000 bonus miles since it's wasn't a new card. He did give me 1,000 bonus miles! I'll take anything I can get from this amazing bank! I'm really amazed that I was able to accomplish all this in one month of account opening!! Do you guys think I made the right decision with upgrade? What are your thoughts on the Arrival WMC? Maybe in a month or two I can be upgraded to WMC Elite! HAHA!

Arrival does not upgrade to WEMC. That is reserved for the Arrival+.
Id have pressed for more than 1,000 miles. Actually I would have just applied for the Arrival outright. Enjoy your card though.
I'm in the garden at the moment. 1,000 miles was best offer. They've been very generous. I won't push my luck. Very happy!
It's too late now. I already accepted the offer.
