Card is still going strong and received this email today. Sure others got it well. Barclay's still likes me "currently" until they do their next AR and say WTH did these new accounts come from..

I got something for Sallie Mae regarding the 4th of July.
No extra rewards or special offers in the email...just a generic "have a safe and enjoyable 4th" greeting...
It was a little unusual to get a "happy 4th" message from a bank with a UK parent (some Brits do still refer to George III as "the king who lost the colonies").
Not as odd as our own habit of celebrating to music commemorating the battle of Borodino, though.
