So my 6th statement is about to cut, will I get an automatic credit limit increase? My utilization on the card is about 55%.
I've seen numerous posts about it being a sure thing, but just curious...

No, nothing in the world of credit is a sure thing

I don't think anything with CCC is an sure thing.
I dont know about it being automatic. I got mine in Sep `13 with a $500 limit...... As of right now. The limit is still $500. Ive asked several times and been denied each and every time. Your mileage may vary, but Ive done everything with that card from using it so much it melted to sock drawering it and it STILL refuses to grow. Only negative left on my reports is a medical collection from 2010. Was having a similar problem with Capital One --even after recieving a large legal settlement that was deposited in my account in their bank. They still wouldnt budge, and I opted for the nuclear option with them. Maybe all the "problem" accounts I cancelled and new ones I opened in short order has them scared. Oh well, their loss on the fees they arent collecting because I`m not using the card.
I didn't get it, so definitely not a sure thing.
I opened a Barclays Apple in September 2013... $1200. I got a $1000 auto increase at 6 months. I had financed an iPhone and made payments... I paid it off around month 8 and didn't use the card but for maybe $50 a month after that... till December 2014 when I applied for Sallie Mae. I got approved for $4500.
Then I moved the $2200 Apple limit to the Sallie Mae for $6700 and closed the Apple.
So either way... if you get a CLI or you don't, building history with Barclays can pay off in the end.

Received mine last month after the 6th statement. Heavy usage and PIF'd every month, $900 CLI on 1K initial limit.
Took me 9 statement of very heavy use to go from $500 to $1000.
Took a HP to get CLI from $1000 to $1450 after 13 statements.
I burned them in BK in 2009 so I was glad to get back in!

With any creditor CLI's are based on credit and income. They are never a sure thing. CLI's are not simply given in exchange for time.
I'm waiting for my auto CLI but I took a HP to get it raised manually
