Barclays Approval BT offer question.

Hello I was just instantly approved for a barclays rewards card. I want to take advantage of the balance transfer offer however, instead of transfering the money to another creditor I want to move it into my checking account. Is that something I can do? Do I need to wait for the card? Can I process it now?  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have the same card, and they sent me some checks to use just for that purpose.
