Re: Barclays Bank and Priceline Visa

Good day all,

I just wanted to thank everyone here that has posted about Barclays Priceline Visa.  I applied for the card back in April and I was declined.  As I was reading some of the post today I noticed people talking about this Recon and I saw a number posted so I said what the heck, I called them and a young lady answered the phone right away no recording or anything.  She asked me for my SSN and put me on hold for about 1 minute.  when she came back she asked me if I wanted them to reconsider my application and I said please.  She asked me a few questions and that was it.  she said she will be sending my card through today with an initial limit of 1000.00 dollars.  she did say after about 6 months I should call back and see if they can increase my limit.   Without the information on this site I would have never called them.

keep the good information coming...

This sounds like a wonderful bank to do business with?

Is a 700 TU score about the minimum with them?

I'm pleased so far. Maybe someone could chime in with the score requirements.

680 and higher with no recent baddies (less than a year) for instant approval, 650 and higher with recent baddies for recon approval (in most cases)

This is just from what I have been able to see so far.

I tried yesterday and i got declined. My TU Score is 715, AAoA 3 years, oldest account 9 years, 3 recent inquires (2 of them are basically one when i bought my car, however the system didn't count it as one even it was only one day apart...) - No past due ever nothing else negative.

Here is why:

-Low available credit on existing credit card(s)

-Insufficient credit history

-High number of recent inquiries

Should i call to get reconsidered? I used to be a customer of them in Europe until end of last year with a credit line of 11.100€. Can they cross-check?

I don't need the additional credit, however i have to agree that my current credit is limited (so bullet one is valid)

Thanks

Using an inquiry only to get declined is a shame--always recon a denial.

Can someone please confirm which CRA it reports to?

Re: Barclays Bank and Priceline Visa

They report to all 3 CRAs, if you are asking whom they pull, primarily TU
