Barclays initial CL CLI?

I just got approved for Barclays NFL (Patriots) card with a starting CL of $7000. I'd like to see if I can request a CLI up to a total CL of $10,000. Whats their policy on this and how would I go about doing it? Thanks!

Definintely recon, but just be aware that they probably won't do it without another hard pull.  I called for a recon before activation right after I was approved back in November and the credit analyst I talked to refused to recon without another hard pull. It was frustrating since they had just pulled my credit report the day before when I applied! I was only approved for an initial $500 limit (still have a few 6+ year old baddies) and they denied me a CLI upon recon.  I just hit the 5 month mark and they gave me an auto cli to $2,000. It might be worth waiting a few months to see if they give you an auto cli if you don't want to burn another inquiry.

Some people with the Apple card had success in increasing the limit a little to be able to buy a product. I haven't seen any people with that high of a limit get that much of a bump. It doesn't seem they hand out credit limits like other lenders, but it never hurts to try. They use the same report that is already pulled.

Wow I always thought Barclays gave low cl's 500 - 2000 didn't know they offered cards that started at $7,500+

I was instantly approved for $5.5K last July. I immediately tried to raise the limit, but they wouldn't even consider it...YMMV though. I again asked for $10K a couple of days ago, but they countered with $8180 via hard pull. Lets us know how it goes. Congrats by the way!

I decided not to go through for a CLI request. Didn't want them to SP my CR and see other inquires from Chase and CITI and CITI is already reporting. Rather stay at this limit than get AA from Barclays
