I was considering telling them I'm in the market for a new iPhone and iPad...but I dont' want to push my luck.  My iPhone 4 works great so there isn't a need for the 4s.

I have an iMac which I love, but I like the convenience of an iPad.

Decisions, decisions.

Lol, I totally understand.  I want a new MacBook Pro so bad, but my older MBP is working just fine, so I can't justify an upgrade.

Hah I told the rep I was going to buy a macbook pro also...they gave me a $1500 TL to start. I've been tempted to call and ask for more, but I have a bad feeling about it

Re: Barclays recon worked for me too!!!!

So...I have to say

I LOVE BARCLAYS!!!

I decided to call in because the iPad I've been pricing comes out to roughly $850 with taxes and accessories and they raised my limit!!!   I told the representative that I believe $1,000 will cover the total expense and after verifying my annual income - INSTANT APPROVAL!!!  I didn't want to push for more since I don't "need" it right now...and besides, like a couple people have stated already, with good payment history, I should see a CLI in 6-12 months

Re: Barclays recon worked for me too!!!!

I did a recon today after getting a dis approval on line.  It was a no go, which I don't mind.  heck, 5 out of 8 in 3 weeks is a good batting avg.

Secured loan= $8,400

Cap1 Plat= $2,000

AMEX Zync = NPSL

Discover More = $5,000

Citi Plat M/C = $2,600

Not bad, in a 3 weeks work, now credit...go to work!!!!

P.S.  Got a free credit score from Barclays pulling TU 696...Heck Yea!!!

Re: Barclays recon worked for me too!!!!

Did they give you an inclination as to why you were denied?  You might want to consider calling back and speaking to someone else.  The gentleman I spoke with a few minutes ago was far friendlier than the woman I spoke with this morning Smiley Wink

(yes, I'm a girl and I have no problem using that to my advantage)

Call again. I called immediately after getting denied and the decision was upheld...then called again yesterday and got approved. It all depends on what rep you get!

Re: Barclays recon worked for me too!!!!

Well, just got off the phone, AND STILL A NO GO.  (The reason was no establish credit...I do not have no open accounts on my TU, due to the fact I just open some recently) and they are somewhat nervous that I have an AMEX, heck if I know. Anyway, I am in no dire need for a Barclays, just wanted to test the water.  Beside, After I closed on my house in May, I am going to re-apply for a Chase Marriott.
