Barclays doesnt soft CLI's that I know of. Ive had huge issues with their credit reporting along with my wife and many others here and have had many ussues with their customer service. We both closed our accounts almost 2 months ago and Barclays is still mis- reporting on TransUnion. From my experience, next to Bank of America they were the worst credit card I have ever had.
As the saying goes; YMMV

I was skeptical before since I just added a car loan but it wasnt a big deal. Barclays is known to to critical of new accounts. But there are a lot of posts that can make one paranoid. It's alwasy a risk we take with any of these creditors.
