whats the deal with barclays cards are they good? better rewards? APR?
I don't know about APR, it seems it is still usually high at 22.99 or 24.99, but the rewards are nice on the Barclays Rewards MC. You use the rewards to pay off portions of your statement balance whenever you want to.

24%apr. I bought a $750 Ipad. 6 mounths 0%.
High APR but can beat the 0% financing at the apple store
Like most other cards, it depends on how you are going to use them. The APR is generally pretty high on them (with the exception of the Ring), so if you plan on carrying a larger balance then perhaps they aren't the best. If you PIF every month, or most months, then the APR doesn't really matter.
The Apple Financing card offers 0% financing at Apple, so for me, that is worth it. I've had this card since 2008 and have benefited from this perk multiple times. It also provides reward points towards Itunes gift cards. While the giftcards are nice, I find the main value in the free financing and look at the gift cards as a nice surprise that periodically shows up in my mailbox.
I also have a Carnival Mastercard from Barclays which provides points that can be used with Carnival. I don't use the card heavily, so I have never received a free cruise, but I have been able to use the points to upgrade my room a few times. I also just found out that the points can be used to purchase gift cards for retail stores.
I have received several automatic CLIs on both cards over the past few years. The CL on my Apple Visa has doubled, and the CL on my Carnival MC has tripled. I don't use them, but the Visa account has also been sending me balance transfer checks with pretty good 0% rates. I am currently, completely happy with both cards.
Barclaycard Rewards MC. $10K limit and 12.99% APR.

Barclays is popular with rebuilders becuase of their approvals and recons and CLIs, for which they are usually great. Also their promotions with Apple as well.
Although the use is pretty limited I really like their Barnes & Noble card - 5% statement credit on purchases. Due to e-book price fixing by publishers there often aren't a lot of discounts to be had otherwise. Barclays also seems pretty good with limits. Other than this and maybe the Apple card for financing options (if you dig Apple products) I don't find their other rewards options super appealing personally.
so its more for rebuilders?
