I believe you have to be a full member. Not 100% sure on that but before I had called in and gained full member my offer wasn't there.

that would suck. My dad was in the army like..40 years ago, he's not a member though, dont even know if hes eligible.

He should be, I think as long as he was military he's eligible.

If I view the CC products while logged in, I can only see like three of them (Platinum MC and Visa, and Military Affiliate MasterCards). The AMEX products nor Secured products show.

I guess full membership really does have its perks...

Re: Became a USAA Partial Member

Yes full membership opens you to ALL of their credit products and even better their insurance products. To @jsucool - If your dad joins I believe that he would have to purchase at least one insurance product to open up those lines to you. But if he is open to at least getting a quote from them he may be surprised at their competitive rates.

I had progressive full coverage auto insurance for a number of years before I joined USAA. I got a quote and saved like $350.00. I called Progressive to cancel and the CSR said "Well who are you going to? Maybe we can match it or beat it. I said "USAA." The CSR said "Oh, never mind, thanks for your business."Smiley Very Happy

I currently have savings, home, auto and umbrella insurance, Roth IRA and CC with them. I would have checking but I am with NFCU and there is a branch within 3 blocks of home.

Best financial advice I ever got: "Just imagine what an adult would do and do that."
