Best Buy - Citi Welcome letter --- NO MORE ANNUAL FEE

I got my welcome letter from Citi about my Best Buy account today. My account has always had a $39 annual fee since I got it in 2010. The welcome letter from Citi stated that their will no longer be an annual fee associated with my card.

Here are some changes:

- No annual fee

- Minimum payment amount is going to be $25 or 1% of the balance + billed finance charges + late charges

- Cash advance fee increases to 5%

- Over the credit limit fee is eliminated

- Minimum interest charge is $0

- Changes to arbitration and governing law

- Changes to the 48 month reduced rate credit plan

States all changes take effect 1/11/2014

How annoying, I closed my card just as the citi takeover was announced due to the annual fee, my CL had been stuck at 900 for years.. ive more than replaced it, but I always liked using it in the best buy store. I guess I could always reapp, but I really don't need it

Wow, your changes sound great.  I also got my welcome letter today but the only real 'changes' are that my interest rate is not going up and my annual fee is now $59.  I'll be paying this one off right away and closing the account.  So much for Citi.
