Best Buy MC CLOSED~ BYE

Called in, she wanted to transfer me to specialist (retention I assume) She quickly came back and said the hold was to long and she would help me if that was okay. I said that is fine but I would have thought HSBC would want to try to keep me as a customer and offer something and you can't do that so... So she said she would try again and she quickly came back and said the hold was just to long she would have to help me.... Okay... She says I understand you are upset about the CLD but I can put in a request now for CLI if you wish? WHY, it's been days since the CLD and 2 credit people said no, why would the computer say yes, it was the computer that did the CLD!

Okay she said, and starts to tell me about my MasterCard that can be used outside of Best Buy and that I earn 2%.... Me - Im sorry but I have had the card for 18 months, I know where I can use it and what rewards I have so if you can't help me with my CL we can save ourselfs some time. Account Closed!

Sounds like a little piece of garbage, from what I have heard about BB cards.  What was the limit, $200?  I don't think I've ever heard of getting a limit of more than a couple hundred from them.  And I heard that they have big annual fees, too.  Better off being rid of that blight on your credit report.

+1 - move on and do not look back!

I had a problem with a BBRZMC a couple of years back. I think the card had a $2700 limit or something like that. They decided to CLD me down to $1000 CL. I called and fussed and they would not do a thing to put it where it was. CLOSED! I told them I refused to do business with any company that treated me like that.

Good riddance!

Ray

Yes $300 increased to $600 back in Oct. or Nov I think when we all were getting $100-$300 CLI. Then in Dec. it got dropped back to $300 and the letter reason for the CLD was "Excessive Transactions in 1 month, viewed and risky!" yes wording might be little off, can't remember if it was "transactions or swiping" but it was to many in one month and viewed as a high risk... after the credit person looked at my account with payments for balance in full including pending each week she put it back to $600, jan 3 I took a HP for CLI above $600 and it was declined, I did not know at time I took a HP (Mad!) then the system shows it looked at my account on Jan 17 and CLD to $305. Based on the Jan 3 review the computer had done the decrease it just didn't happen until just couple days ago and 2 reps said that based on BK and mortgage foreclosure I no longer "Qualify" for a $600 CL.

Re: Best Buy MC CLOSED~ BYE

My BBRZMC is still alive because of no AF. Still at a small $500 CL though. But if they change it and start charging an AF, it will be closed, no doubt.

See mine had no annual fee either and I really wanted it to move to Cap1 but in the end I just decided that Im so obsessed with my credit cards that I won't be able to just pay it off and put it in a drawer and do nothing with it until it moves to Cap1 or they close it... It would pop into my thoughts at some point with what terrible CS I got and the things they said to me and I would not be able to keep myself from calling in to see if I got a nicer person and I would most liely not and then I would get really upset about it again and it would just be a cycle that's not worth it for $300 or $600 if they gave it back to me!
