Best Buy MC upgrade glitch...

I logged into my Citi BB store card account his afternoon and got the following:

Congratulations!  Your account has been upgraded to a Best Buy Mastercard!  Please call customer service!

So I did... and they told me that my account was not upgraded... apparently they are having issues with their website sending out innacurate upgrade messages to random account holders.

So if you get this message you should call them before you get too excited.

Hahha someelse had posted the same thing, all I know is that once my dads Best Buy card is paid off its going to get closed for good that will teach them greety people!

LOL yeah...  I told them I was going to pay off the balance but since they baited me with the bogus upgrade I'm gonna continue to carry the balance at $100 per month for the next 16 months.

It is 0% financing after all... which is the only reason to use the card.

My dad has been member/card holder since 2008 and has never gotten cli it cost him 2 HPs on TU to find out that he doesnt qualify, well they dont qualify in his wallet so they will soon be receiving a phone call.

Unfortunately it was on my phone... I thought it was weird when I saw the red "!" next to my account name and when I clicked it is when I got the message.

It hasn't come back and I didn't see it when logging in from my laptop either.

Oh well!  LOL

I too got the same thing, I called the executive office which they stated they never heard of a glitch and told me to send the screen shot of the upgrade as well as the email stating that I received an upgrade and to expect my card , we will see what happens!
