Best Buy Plan B Accounts

Ive had one of these since 2008. Anyone had success getting a CLI now that Capital One owns these?

no you can not get one maybe citi will change it but as of now i am 99% getting rid of my BBY card 1. because of no CLI and 2. I refuse to shop at bestbuy anymore they have been very rude to me lately so i am done with them

Some have reported of getting a cli, but there's a set limit on how high your cl could be on the plan b accounts (I closed mine before even receiving the card once i found out i had plan b). If i were you though, i'd definately keep it until the end of this year since you had it since 08 and see if anything changes once citi takes over, if not just close the card and reapply if you need plan a for the higher limit.

So; I thought cap 1 had these? Are you guys saying that citi bought them? No chance of me closing it. Its one of my older accounts and it has no AF. It would be nice to get a CLI though. I use the card to buy tax prep software every year and to buy printer toner as the need arises. Its not hard to keep this card active. Edit: I see the news article. maybe that's why I got two citi card pre approvals last week. one for TY preferred and one for Diamond Preferred.

I'm currently working with a Cap1 liason on my BB plan B account. I wrote them an email last Wednesday, and they called me later that day. They are willing to grant me a CLI, but with a HP. I am still deciding whether or not to go through with it. I also asked them if they are going to pull all three CBs or just one. They said they would look into it and get back to me. They called me back on Thursday, but I missed their call since I was at work and the liason took Friday off. I am going to call the EO tomorrow with the answer and my decision, hopefully. Right now, I'm still not sure if its worth it.

So to answer your question, yes they are willing to do a CLI, but most likely with a HP. However, when I asked for a CLI on my Cap1 VentureOne account through the EO, it was a SP.

Yup the card is still cap1 atm. Article says deal should be finalized by Q3. I'm not sure exactly what the cap is on the plan b account (under 2k?). I was planning on getting the card early (plan a) and have it grow with me so when i purchase a home 3-5 years from now i could finance appliances (fridge, dryer, etc..) and what not. Hopefully there's a change for the better when citi takes over and that plan b cl cap becomes irrelevant.

I believe my account was Plan Band i've recieved 3 CLI's over 2 years. $4K CL currently.

Anyone know if there's a way to see what plan you have? I have a feeling I'm on B, due to not getting a CLI ever. I don't have the initial PPW anymore... back from 06! Anything on the card account site to see? Or do I have to just call?

I haven't gotten a CLI on my BB Plan B card in over three years.  The only reason I still have it is because they waived the AF this past year.  Unless they do that again, this card is destined for the shredder.
