Just tried for a CLI on my Best Buy card (the first since Cap1 took over) and got this response:
Dear Valued Best Buy Customer,
Thank you for using our online services.
We understand your concern regarding the credit limit on your Account. Please
be advised, we were unable to increase your credit line due to unverifiable
information. In order for us to further consider your request, it will be
necessary for you to contact us. Please call us at 1-800-365-0292 and an
associate will work with you in an effort to fulfill your request.
We regret any inconvenience caused by this matter.
Any ideas what this may mean?
Had the card since 12/2008, started at $2000.00 anf is at $11800.00 today.

When I asked for a CLI on my HSBC card the CSR stated Cap One put a freeze on all CLI
