Stop it, yall!
I wish I could say that I could afford it at tax time... But we're part of that group that gets chewed off just bad enough in taxes to make an otherwise comfortable lifestyle, a little on edge.
There are other good alternatives too.
Costco (online, not warehouse) has some decent mattresses at good prices. If you don't like it, you can always call them and they'll pick it up and issue a full refund.
With most decent mattresses, you will have a good night sleep. The problem is that some mattresses break down faster than others, and that's when you start having backaches. If you go with a premium brand, they tend to last longer. So if you don't go with a premium brand, make sure you buy it from a place that has a good exchange or warranty policy.
Looking at Costco as well for it.

I used to use this: http://www.costco.com/ESCAPE-14.5%22-Luxury-Memory-Foam-King-Mattress.product.11768098.html
It's in the guest bedroom now but it's pretty good. Have it for over a year and there's no sagging at all. Wait for a sale though.
Also bought this before: http://www.costco.com/Ara-13%22-King-Memory-Foam-Mattress-100%25-Visco-Foam.product.100003897.html
It's in the guest bedroom and I slept on it about 20-30 times. Not as nice compared to the 1st one but still good, especially for the price.

The price is definitely right...
Picked up a memory foam mattress from Costco for about $730 last month.
From a hygenic perspective not that interested in a mattress lasting 20+ years and the level of comfort of a quality non-Tempur-pedic foam is very similar IME

There's special covers just for this purpose.
I'd used discover It for my recent online queen sized tempurpedic mattress purchase ($3800 and not the most expensive model) and got the 5% online purchase reward( up 2 the cap of course).
Perfect timing for this topic as I just purchased a new mattress this week. I looked at Tempur Pedic and others and just could not justify spending 3+ thousand dollars. For a few weeks I seen ads for Casper and decided to give them a try. I got a king size for $900 delivered on Wednesday. After 2 nights I'm am sold. They give you 100 days to try it but I'm 99% sure I will be keeping it.
Here's a link to get $50 off (I also get $50 referral if you use this link).

Also they offer interest free financing if you want with Affirm.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get the most out of buying a new mattress with a discount using rewards or bonuses with Credit Cards?
For the most part, I'm apart of AMEX, Citi, Discover, Chase... and was wondering if any of those gave a percentage back when buying something for home improvement (mattress). The best I can think of is the Citi Double Cash which is 2% back, however, a store associate at Mattress Discounters told me that someone had a Black Citi Card that gave them 5% back on a Tempur Pedic...
Thanks for any tips!
unless you're paying in full i would just take the credit card the stores offer and get 0% APR because carrying the balance even for 2 months would probably eat up the cash you would have otherwise earned back. Tempur Pedic usually have their own 0% financing i think for like 2 years or more. Then this way your overall credit ultilzation rate should also improve giving the increase of available credit raisng your credit score in the long run...
