I was just wondering who the best CU. IN FLORIDA. (Orlando) would be as far as my scores as a rebuilder with a bk reporting?....I just got a fair winds cc with 2500 limit...no military background so Navy federal won't work..... Just found out fair winds is very conservative with CL increases......my bk is from 2005. Just want want a higher CL than other cards I have......3000 thru Barclays is the highest with fair wind at 2500 then cap one 2000....... Barclays opened in November ,fair winds just got this month and cap one well is cap one....no CLI since I got the card in 2008
Try GTE FCU. Well, they have no branch in Orlando, but Plant City and Lakeland if that is not too far for you.

Hi amercnchopz,
I'm also in Orlando...try Orlando Federal CU, Central Florida Educators CU, and McCoy FCU.
Good luck!

I know in East Orlando on Lake Underhill (near Alafaya / Waterford Lakes) there's a credit union called Martin Federal Credit Union. You may want to look into them...I'm also a fairly new Fairwinds CC member and didn't know that they were more conversative with CL increases. ![]()

Yeah ...I was bummed when the loan officer told me that but I figured I had already taken the hit on my CCR so I accepted ..I am hoping that it is not true as well......

Avoid GTE FCU - I was with them for about 15 years, but they've really gone downhill. They started charging more and more fees, like a bank.
Driving to Lakeland from Orlando is not a reasonable suggestion, either - if the OP was willing to do that, they might as well go with an out of state credit union like Alliant.

no desire to travel to lakeland....I guess I will just ride it out with Fairwinds and see where it takes me ![]()

Fairwinds isn't bad at all. I've been with them since 1999, and have had no issues...I think you'll be pleased.
Good Luck!![]()
