My DCU membership is still pending. I have applied and gotten approved for a $7500 card which I will get once I have my membership number. They did ask for one paystub for me. It was two hard pulls, one for the membership and one for the credit card.

I'm with DCU.
They approved me within a few days for membership and they actually gave me a $1,500 CL CC with a thin file. All I had to do was scan my ID and paystub, then I emailed it to them. 2 HP on EQ for membership and CC app though. I read that you can get away with 1 HP if you apply in person

I have a membership with Alliant credit union (by choice) and Security Service Federal cu (because of my car loan...) . I have been with Alliant for many many years and they've always treated me well.

2. To me, the biggest drawback of CUs are two HPs (one at the time of membership application & the other for CC). Is it possible to somehow get only one HP?
When I joined penfed, they used the same pull for membership and two loan apps. Check out the boards here; I think it's one pull for 30 or 90 days with them, for all credit products.

Do you remember who they pulled from? Equifax perhaps?
