PFCU Plat Rewards or Cas Rewards. 5% back.

As above, I wouldn't go for the Plat Rewards as the points are worth too little

Re: Best gas card out there?

If you don't have BP,

BOFA Cash Rewards- 3% on gas (1,500 quarterly),

Amex Blue Cash Preferred- 3% (no caps),

Amex PRG 2X MR points at gas stations,

Citi Double Cash 2% Cash back,

Venture by Capital One 2x Miles on all purchases.

Those are just what I would pick out of my wallet lol Smiley Very Happy

Re: Best gas card out there?

I've had the Sam's card a few months now and I'd have to say hands downs it's got to be the go to gas card @ 5%

Most credit card cash back offers are at "the pump only" (MCC code: Automated Fuel Dispenser)

Sam's is not only at the pump, but in the convenience store as well (MCC code: Service Station); 5% back on beer and smokes too, if that's your thing!

No goofy point system-just a straight up cash back check at the beginning of the year (to spend at Sam's Club, of course)

The membership is free the first year with a statement credit, after that you don't even have to be a member, you can simply get a free one day pass to spend the check

But with uncapped 5% cards out there, none of these can be the "Best gas card out there"!

Re: Best gas card out there?

Amex EDP 3x MR avg. 1.50x, 4.50% on redemption, no cap.

Through in grocery @ 4.50 MR @ 6.75% avg capped at 6k.

I know 30 swips but it's very easy once you through in morning coffee.

Personal Cards: Amex Plat | Amex Delta Res | CSR | Citi AA Exec Business Cards: Ink+ | Amex BGR

Re: Best gas card out there?

I have the BoA 1,2,3 cash rewards card. One thing to note..... I've been getting the 3% on EVERYTHING I buy at the gas station, such as my morning coffee or energy drinks, even when I don't purchase gasoline. Not sure if this is a glitch or not, but it's been like this at 3 different gas stations so far.

Re: Best gas card out there?

It's just the way the transactions are tagged. I have a mom and pop gas station by my house that also has a small grocery store inside. I use my AMEX BCP to pay for everything inside, including gas, so essentially I'm getting 6% cash back on gas, even though the transaction was tagged as a grocery store lol Smiley Very Happy

And longtimelurker, I have just now from reading this thread learned about some of these 5% gas cards with no caps. But I need to garden for the next 24 months, so these cards will be my best gas cards in the meantime lol Smiley Happy
