Re: Best restaurant card

There are some cards which give you 5% on restaurants as a rotating category.

There are many cards which give you 2% all the time

Citi Forward credit card gives you 5% on restaurants all the time.

Re: Best restaurant card

A lot of people on here will say the Citi Forward card, but IMHO the Citi ThankYou points aren't that great.

Between January - March 2013, Discover is giving 5% cashback.

You should also consider the US Bank Cash+ if you're near a US Bank branch since they are no longer accepting phone/online apps.

Re: Best restaurant card

Either citi forward or CSP. Citi forwards 5% on restaurants wont translate into a true 5% cash back but it is still good.
Csp is 2%, and paired with the rest its good for its a definite contender. Plus you get UR points.

Re: Best restaurant card

Forward will translate into 5% if you use it for student loan or mortgage payments, or if you also have a higher tiered Citi card.

I plan to use it as extra payments on my student loans, thereby Reducing my interest payments over time

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $50,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Prestige (4/16) $30,000

I asked this question some time ago also!  I guess there really aren't any good ones out there.  Other then the rotating catagories of the Chase Freedom and the Discover 5% most cards offer 2% with bonuses at end of year for over-all spending on the card.  Here is the list that I came up with:  citi forward 5pts/ CSP 2 pts/ Disney Premier Visa 2 pts/  Chase Saphire 2pts/ Discover Open Road 2%/ Amex TE 2%/ Blue Sky Pref 2pts/  Marriott Rewards Premier 2pts/ Sony CapOne 2pts/ MTV CapOne 2pts/ Chase Hyatt 2pts and last but not least-  Ink Cash Business 2pts

Hope this helps.  Smiley Happy

Re: Best restaurant card

The Cash+ would be the best if you set both your choices restaurant and fast food(includes starbucks).  You would essentially get 6.25 with the $25 bonus. Smiley Tongue
