I don't use Facebook, so that probably wont be an option.

I got double my limit on the 6 month statement (from $1300 to $2600) but when I tried at 6 months on the Visa they said there was recently a change to the credit limit.

Thanks for the suggestions, and hopefully with a little luck I'll see some luv on this anniversary!

+1 for Cap One EO - My QS One MC has had the following trend/track record: Transferred in from HSBC (Orchard Bank) at $300 CL > few months in approx upped to $800 CL (SP website button) > called EO to get that increased more to $1500 > recently called EO again and went from $1500 to $4000 + AF perm waived/removed + APR reduced from 19.99% to 14.99%. So, yes there is something to be said about dealing with actual human beings at Cap One (their EO does it's best to show card holders they do value our business!).

Seems like you've had some luck with the EO Justin.  I just emailed and asked for a credit line increase as well as the removal of my AF (kind of a lot but hey if you're gonna go...) I mentioned I've had the card for nearly 3 years, never late, always PIF or at least 5x min payments.  Mentioned wanting to travel the end of this year and taking advantage of my 1.5% Quicksilver card.  Not sure what to expect out of this (probably not a $3750 increase lol) but I guess anything is better than nothing.

If Barclay would give me a bit of love for my 1 year with them I'd sure be happy too!

I've also had many success w/ Cap1 EO, I had my Journey PC'd to QS & the CLI at the same time.   If you have emailed the EO, you should expect a phone call from them within a few days or less, and you can go from there.  They'll ask you to repeat what you want, and verbally verify your income, how much you want, etc., and will get back to you within a week.  Best of luck!

Re: Best way to 5K?

So I've put my plans for an AMEX on hold for now (well actually my BK did that for me)  Instead I've decided to garden and try to get my CL's up.  Whats the best way to get to a $5000 credit limit?  Currently my highest is $2600. I know I can HP for CLI's but I'd rather not add the HP's to my CRA's at this time (they are kinda high as is).

I was in the same boat as you a few days ago (you had higher limits than me). Decided to apply for CITI TYP and they approved me for 6K with a 683 EX.  I have AMEX,IT and Barclay all with 1K..

CTYP 7K - CITI AA 6K - AMEX Delta 1.0K- DISCIT 1.2K - Barc 1.9K,-FuelReward 5K-SportsmanGuide 5K -Total Rewards 6.2K - BofA 1-2-3 CR 15K, JCREW 5.3K, AMAZON 2.9, Chase Freedom 3.5K, CAP 1 QS VISA SIG 5K, VENTURE 20K -- Total CL > 80K

Starting FICO SCORES (10/2013) EQ 538 - EX 558
Current FICO SCORES - EQ 713 - EX 722 - 01/28/15

THIS TIME I AM GOING TO THE GARDEN AND STAYING IN UNTIL 2016 - HELP ME STAY!!!

Re: Best way to 5K?

Do you have a recent BK?  I feel my scores are decent coming up on 700 (for the first time ever in my life) but the BK is really holding me back from the cards I want (AMEX, CHASE, CITI)

I have a paid judgment and 3 CO (Capital One)... but I have a mortgage in good standing!  I started rebuilding my credit in October (EX-FICO 538), did a lot  clean up to get it to 683.  I am not sure what your situation is but, if you are not worry about HP ( I had 6 when I got the CITI TYP card) you could give it a try, but it is up to you since you know your situation better

Re: Best way to 5K?

When does the BK fall off of your reports?  In my opinion, time is really the best answer.  The EO letter may work too.
