Big D from Chase :(

So I decided against my better judgement, to app for a Chase Freedom card today.  I knew before I did it I'd be denied but for some reason did it anyway.  My intution was right...flat out denial.  I'm going to assume its because of BK but wont know till the letter comes.  If they pulled EX they would have seen 1 inq, 0 collections, BK7 from 2011, no lates, and a score of 673.  Guess I was hoping that would be enough but not quite...back to the garden for me.

Was considering that westo but I feel like if its because of BK its kinda hard to "explain" that one.  I was hoping a checking and savings with them would help but I dont think they consider that for CC apps. 

-EDIT-  I'm wondering what CA they pulled, because if its TU my 15 inq on there might not help much, even though my FICO on TU is 688.

I'd call anyways. The worst thing they could say is a no.  You already took the hard pull might as well

Thats a good point too reggie, I just never know what to say on a recon and feel like I don't really help my situtation...I should probably try just incase though.

Recon now.  I called six times. Not only did I get Freedom but Slate as well.

Really?  Wow thats pretty impressive?  Why were you denied?  I just feel like the BK is a big ding and its gonna be hard to recon, but I'll give it a try here on my lunch break....Thanks everyone!

Well I ended up calling and it still came back as a no.  Said I needed to show more rebuilding (figured it was the BK).  Kind of a bummer but I guess it is what it is at this point.  Thanks everybody for the hope!
