BoA 99/500 after having a BoA chargeoff?

I used to have a BoA CC that was charged off. It's due to fall of my CR this July (reported by them as the OC along with a CA) and I was wondering if I went ahead and applied for a CC, would they offer me the 99/500 even though I've had a CO with them? Would I be better off applying for the Platinum Plus Visa and hoping they would offer the 99/500 or just apply for the Secured Visa?

I've had a secured Orchard card for 9 months and am considering getting rid of it when the year is up since it never grows. (so many on here say that HSBC will rarely ever waive the annual fee and convert it to an unsecured card)

I would like to get things moving ASAP to help try and rebuild my credit, which is why I was thinking of applying now rather than wait another 7 months. I'm listed as an AU with my parents BoA Visa that they've had for 12 years, which they use all the time and have never been late so that might help. I also have a few other baddies that won't fall off for a few years so I still won't have great credit even after that.

Re: BoA 99/500 after having a BoA chargeoff?

I say go for it. I have 3 BofA charged off account on my CR from 2004. I applied for platinum plus visa last week, got denied for that but they counter offered me the 59/500 one. It's not a secured card, but you pay $59 annual fee. Supposedly it's between 99/500 and the regular visa. On my BofA online banking it shows "Platinum Plus Visa". I called cs, first csr told me this card is not eligible to graduate or cli but second csr told me it would graduate after 9-10 months. My EQ was 634 when I applied. Good luck
