I have some questions around how redemptions work for this card.
1. What counts as travel?
2. What is the minimum redemption (if any)?
3. Is statement credit for qualified purchases the only redemption option?
Thanks!

BOA is pretty liberal with what is considered "travel". Hotels, flights, amusement parks/tourist attractions, cruises, even fortune tellers count. You can find a list in the terms and conditions: https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit-cards/terms-and-conditions/?campaignid=4016361&productoffercode.... This page also tells you the minimum redemption (which varies based on how you redeem).
You can take a "regular" statement credit against ordinary non travel purchases, or you can go for gift cards, but these are of lesser value. The real point of the card is to redeem against travel. IMO, beyond the bonus, if you do not qualify for BOA Preferred Rewards and are just getting 1.5% back, you're better off just using your Freedom Unlimited or Double Cash with no redemption restrictions. If you are getting the Preferred Rewards bonus it changes the discussion.
Minimum redemption is 2,500 points. Like stated above, only redeem for travel credit.
Also, travel redemptions are not in increments, so $37.45, for example, would work. Partial amounts for travel redemptions work too.
