So I recently had my cash rewards mastercard converted to an accelerated cash rewards amex. I got the card in the mail today, it is the silver one. I was holding it in the sunlight and noticed that I could see that the card has the glow in the dark logo in the middle like the one below. That is so cool.
I used the card to buy gas today. I tried to use my old cash rewards mastercard at the pump, it accepted it! Now both transactions are pending on my BofA account. So now I have a mastercard and an amex that both post on the same account.
Thats a safety feature built in that can be seen under the blacklihgt

Yeah its the AM EX one.
I'm still fascinated that I can use the Mastercard and Amex and they both post to the same account.

Usually with product conversions the old card will work for one month or two to allow recurrig charges, and then will stop working.
