BofA CLI (SP Only)

So I paid off a large balance on my cash Rewards card so I thought I'd request a CLI. Instantly approved to 10,000. That's a 3,000 CLI. It was only a SP on EX. Love BofA!!

I did have to call in for instant decision though and was instantly approved in a few seconds.

I don't know. I think I remember a few people in the last couple months getting a soft on the day they called then hit with a hard the next day or two. I think it took a while to show up. I hope not for you but please keep us posted.

i also tried at my 3 month mark or what i thought was my three month mark and they said it was a HP but my reports are frozen nothing showed up

I called and was approved on Monday. I just checked today and it's still showing SP. I'll keep an eye on it.

I also requested a CLI today, just $800, to bring my total limit to $1,400. I didn't want to do too much and spook them. I don't know whether or not it was a hard pull, because I received the "Call us for an instant decision" message, and it was so fast, I doubt they had time to do a pull. Anyway, I'll be calling tomorrow.

I applied online as well and received a message to call in. They could not approve the entire request but they did bump me up $1000.00. I PIF and use the card sparingly sometimes. I usually make a request once every 6 months, I believe every 3 months is a bit much for BOFA. It was only a SP, I looked this am to confirm; no hard inquiry.

This is sounding good, its making me want to try for a CLI. I really don't want a hard pull. I just got approved a few days ago for the AMEX BCE and its my first revolver with them. I really do anything to make them "raise an eyebrow" . So I think I'll listen to my inner voice and hold off for a while till I know for sure it will be a soft. But that's great for you guys, makes me happy to hear they aren't being so strict about their hard pull on ALL CLI POLICY.
