To my suprise I was granted a BofA American Express Point Rewards card Yesterday, I though I was declined but talked to the fraud department and they set me up. The bad news they gave me a $1000 dollar credit line my lowest credit line. But this card is important due to the fact that its on the AMEX network and I dont want the hassle with AMEX going directly with them. Simple question do BofA cards grow and when can I saftley ask for a CLI.

My personal experience with BOA, not AMEX, but Visa was the card grew nicely with me.
I start with a 6K credit limit. I have had the card since 2001. My limit currently is 15K. I only initiated 1 CLI. It moved from 6K-13K all on Auto increases. I asked to have it move to 15K when I moved from the BOA plat to BOA Visa Siggy.
They have been great to me, but who knows. It seems every person has a different experience with every lender.
Hope this helps.

I appreciate the quick response. I dont need a huge credit line I already have that but if these cards grow over time that is all I need to know. They pulled Trans Union for me have a few inquiries and new accounts so Ill ride it out over the next year and see if I can get a Increase come around next Christmas. Thanks John

Opened a BoA VISA with a 2k CL, recently asked for a CLI to 5k which was immediately approved. Also asked them to convert it to a signature card, which they said they would do but apparently takes up to 4 weeks...

I have a BoA 123 Cash Rewards Visa which I obtained in April 2011. It's been nearly two years now and I haven't received any CLIs, despite putting at least a $1000 through the card every month. I suppose I could ask for a CLI, but I have heard that they hard pull and I don't want inquiries because I'm planning on getting a mortgage in the near future. Did they hard pull for your CLI?

This is good to know, as I said before not looking for a huge number maybe 3k to 4k would be sufficient for my needs
