I just checked my credit report (EX and TU) and saw that my new Bank of America Cash Rewards Signature Visa is being reported as a 'flexible spending' credit card with no CL reported. Is this the case for this card for other people? Can I call them to request that they report it as a 'credit card' with a reported CL also?

Mine reports a CL. It's a World (MC), and they seem a bit more likely to report a CL. Also, mine started out as a regular CC, and when they offered to upgrade to World, I made them pinky-swear that it would continue to report correctly.
I also have a USAA World and a Chase Siggy, and they both report the CL, although that's a fairly recent development with Chase.
Thanks for the replies everyone. I did another search and found this thread which basically states the same:

How lame of Signature Visa (and I guess World MC) to not report CL. I'm not sure I would have opened an account had I known.
So if a card does not report a CL, does it have no effect on your utilization at all? If that's the case, I don't think I'll ever bother requesting a CLI on this card :/

You have a BofA Cash Rewards card that is a World MC instead of Signature Visa? Wow, I had no idea that the same card could be either Visa or MC. I think I'll give BofA a call tomorrow to see if they can start reporting a CL.
Here are some more useful threads I found that help clarify the CL reporting situation with Signature Visa vs World MC:

So I checked the BofA website and it does not show this "1-2-3 Cash Rewards" card, and only shows three MC, all of which are co-branded cards (Norwegian cruise, Spirit Air, and an MLB card)...

I think you have to app over the phone and specifically request MC.

The rewards program seems to be independent of the card type. There are also Chase Freedom VISA and MC's, and so forth.
My card started out as a Mastercard, so I suppose that's why it stayed a MC.
Thanks folks. I think I'll call BoA and see if they can do an easy VISA to MC switch (or even a Signature VISA to regular VISA switch) which would be great since I won't be likely to use it much if I lose the cash back rewards. If not, I may switch it to a basic BankAmericard VISA (non-signature VISA it appears) or a Power Rewards card (but I don't like point rewards cards). I'll let you all know what they say tomorrow *fingers crossed*.
