BofA Multiple Pre-Approvals Question

Hi all,

I received a pre-approval in the mail from BofA a few weeks ago for the BofA Cash Rewards card. I finally bit the bullet last week and was approved for $5000. The next day, I received another pre-approval from BofA for the same Cash Rewards card (with a different pre-approval code). Is it possible to get more than one card from BofA? If so, does anyone know if I could use the new pre-approval for one of BofA's other CC's? Their travel rewards card, for instance?

I think the preapproval is only for the card specified in the preapproval. If you want a travel rewards card from BOA, you'll have to apply separately. I think the Chase Sapphire Preferred is a better travel card though.
