BofA joint account approval

Do you think i would be approved to become a joint account holder on my wifes BofA plantium card.?EX is 642, EQ is 631 and TU is 627. My wife has near perfect credit and has had the BofA card since 2003. Thanks

I believe they'll look at both of your scores and proceed on the assumption that you are applying alone and she is applying alone. In other words, they'll look at yours with the same weight as hers.

Have you tried apping as an individual? I did get approved for a 99/500 counter-offer with 640 on EX.

Sometimes CCC's are easier on the second joint applicant. I guess they figure that they can always come after your wife if necessary. After all, that's the thrill and excitement of going joint -each of you is responsible for all the charges, no matter which of you made them.

Discover told me in the fall that if I wanted to switch to joint from my current AU status, all that was needed was for DH to call and say it was OK. Of course, that was before the you-know-what hit the economic fan...

Thanks for the reply. I just got off the phone with BofA and they approved me as a joint account holder with the wife with a credit limit of 15k. Now, I hope to reap the rewards of her excellent creit history with BofA since 2003. Thanks again for your response
