So I received my first CLI to 5000.00$ on my Walmart Credit Card. Does this mean I have reached a new level with my CR? or because its a store card-not really?
Dunno yet...I've had a Kay's card worth $7,600 for a few years...but no "real" credit card worth more than $2500 until very, VERY recently...
My CU just increased my credit limit from $2,000 to $5,500...I'm going to wait until it reports that to the credit bureaus and then I'll try to get some other CC's to match my limit...
Nice CLI!

I have heard breaking the 5k barrier has opened the flood gates for some people when they applied for new cards and getting higher credit lines. I'm hoping to find out when my cards age a bit more. In terms of it being a store card I am not really sure how those would be viewed by CC companies. I think I have seen people with high limit store cards and the rest of their cards were much lower. That being said either way you look at it your new limit won't hurt your chances so congrats on your CLI!
Congrats CLI

Some lenders consider any limits store or CC
Chase does not for store cards
Congrats!
