Re: Buh Bye Cap One!

I've had a Cap1 VISA for about 10 years now, $1300 CL and $59 AF.

I've never had a CLI, and my APR has gone from 12.99% to 22.99% over the last few years, even though I've never missed a payment.

Up until last year, they have always waived the AF.  This year's fee just posted on my last statement dated 3/17/12.

My plan is to PIF this week minus the AF, and then call to see if they will waive the fee this year.

If not, I'm dumping this damn card like a hot potato.  Good riddance!!!

I don't think you realize how jealous I am of you Smiley Wink I am just waiting until I find a replacement card, like the Freedom, to close my Capital One card so that my utilization doesn't take a hit. Smiley Sad

Well, I can appreciate your feeling jealous. I feel that way about all of the high CLs people are getting, when I'm stuck at $2k! Smiley Wink
