Does anyone knows when applying for a CLI, does CapOne and Orchard Bank does a hard or a soft pull??? Thanks in advance!
There is a thread in stickies for this. However, cap one is hard. Orchard used to be soft. Not sure with changeover to cap one if policy is still in place. I think others have recently gotten soft based cli on orchard. I would call them.
I called HSBC and askd for a CLI it was a hard pull for $100.00 not even worth it.
Cap 1 = YMMV doesn't matter WHAT the question is.

I like that haha
Definitely about WHO you talk to with cap1. The automated system will 99.9999999999999999999999999% of the time tell you to go..well, it'll say no
CapOne is 99.999% of the time is a WP (wasted pull) they don't give customer iniated credit limit increases
All HP's. I have both and r not worth it.

That's what I have found also. I have not budged from my $5K limit since I combined cards 4 years ago. I get a CLI almost every time I try on my Barclay's US Airways which started at $700 and is now $7070. No big deal, I will just never use them again.
I called the backdoor number for HSBC Credit. I asked her to see if I qualify for a CLI, she said they do not, and never have done soft pull for CLI. I explained to her that the last 2 have been soft. I was gonna call back and see if another rep can help but I got busy. Has anybody recently got a received a CLI via soft pull?
