Got my first step today...I hope I am lucky and actually get a few more! My CL went from 500 to 750 and the 4th statement just cut today.

Awesome! My 4th statment was cut on 11/17, but didnt get a increase yet. I think the credit steps letter said I will get one on my 5th statement. Not sure anymore, gotta check that for sure once I can.

I got my letter a few days ago and it said that by the 7th statement I should get the CLI from $500 to $750. So I guess well wait and see what happens.

I called the backdoor number to see if there were other steps in the program. The Account Specialist said that my account would be reviewed periodically and that I would also be able to request CLI with a soft pull. His advice was to keep doing what I was doing because my account looked good. I utilize the card quite a bit and make sure to pay each month's balance in full through one or several payments. Also, he was surprised I got the CLI so early. He said it was not scheduled to happen yet and usually people get it a few weeks after the 5th statement.
I am going to call next month after the statement cuts and attempt another CLI. I will update everyone with my results next month.

Usually it is 4th statement. You need to be patient with Cap1

I got my Cap1 card about a year and a half ago and back then you could call the backdoor number and get someone with power over your account. I got my card with a $500 limit which was increased to $750 due to the first credit step. I called the back door number and asked for an increase to $1000 which she approved then I got the other credit step which brought me to $1500 which is where it is now. From what I have experienced and learned from others, now when you call the backdoor number they put your request in a computer which spits out either a yes or no and there is no reversal of that decision.
