I also have an 'upgrade' to the cash reweards 1% and .5 bonus... I can't see a reason that the miles card would be better then the cash. I'll be honest travel cards don'
t make sense to me :/

Nice! How long have you had this card?
Very VERY nice! Capital One seems to be softening. Congrats!
Congrats. I have the card b/c no foreign transaction fee, no annual fee, and I don't want to wait a year for .25% more.
That's interesting Congrats

I think they realize that they help people grow and are not necessarily growing along with customers. I think my current card is very valuable. Their no FTF is HUGE. Not many card issuers offer that with no annual fee.

Interesting. So you can redeem as cash back at 1.25%?

I agree!
Ultimately it seems like a no brainer to do the 1.5 vs 1.25
I wish they'd let me upgrade to the 2pts per dollar venture :'(

With the venture(and ventureone) I'm pretty sure you get half value if you do it as a statement credit as opposed to against travel.

I truly hope that this is the case, I spent 5 years with a 500$ card and finally asked for an increase and they gave me another 500. A year later I tried for more and they told me no and that I should apply for another card, so I applied for another one and got a 1k limit on a cash rewards mc, finally found this forums and read about everything and ended up going the EO route and got a 1k push on my Platinum MC and they auto cli'd my cash rewards with another 500$ but honestly I do feel like it's pulling teeth with them when I apped for chase they gave me a 2500$ cl. I'll be back on Cap1 in November for my CLI's I really want their cards to grow with me, I've been loyal to them for almost 8 years now it's time they work with me I'd say.
