you could see as a 1st step by calling backdoor number if your account can be offered any type of increase and even try to find out what holds for the future on your account there are threads written by other people getting cli's with the gold card version.

They pulled hard inquiry from TU when I requested CLI for RZMC. That was six months ago. It's probably not hard pull free.

I have the store only version and about two years ago requested an increase online while logged in and was instantly approved with a SP. I don't want to try again if it will result in a HP this time.

i posted in another thread. 

i asked for a cli on a store card back in july but denied on soft pull. 

they pulled my moms credit as its a joint account and was denied due to her bk even though they approved her with it. go figure

Is this card worth applying for? Is the application still opposite of how GE does theirs? (Apply and get counter offered the RZMC if not approved for the store card).

yes, supposedly the store card is more difficult to obtain. 

usually higher cl and no af. 

as for usefullness it is if you shop at best buy alot. 

in the 2 years ive had the card ive retained plat status for both (spend 2k or more in a calender year) 

which give free expidited shipping 

more rewardzone points for your purchases 

and the usual 6,12,18,24 month 0% deals. 

if you just have the card though its just a card to use at best buy.

Just checked both TU and EQ reports using fico holiday promo offering and no hard pull from cap one I am happy about this one.

If you shop for electronics at best buy it is good for the 0% financing opportunities, but you can get good electronic buys at amazon.com.

"When you submit your application below, we will first consider you for a Reward Zone® Platinum MasterCard. Based on your creditworthiness, if you do not qualify for this product, we will automatically consider you for the Reward Zone Credit Card, which is a private label card."
