Well, my first "how do I get to the big boys (700+) post". I need to add CC that will improve my scores. I have only one $500, secured zero balance BofA CC. Any suggestions for others and how many should I add? I have Lexington assisting with the removal of two -the last two- negative items. I am trying to get all scores to around 650 by mid next year. Any help means life back into my tired bank LOL. Thanks for a great community myFICO

I know a few may be down on them, but I really like Capital One's credit card products for those wishing to increase their credit standing. The annual fee is usually pretty reasonable - and they typically begin you with a $500 limit that increases to anywhere between $750-1,000 after 6 months. IME, their credit reporting is also getting up to speed. They report balances much faster than they used to.
Here is the pre-qualification site. You can check your eligibility for one of their products without a hard pull or negatively impacting your FICO scores:
Creditcrusader, thanks for the information. I was looking at Captital One and another bank. I will see what happens. Thanks again and good luck towards reaching your 750 goal, you can do it!
WOW! Just was approved for a $1000 Capital One CC! CreditCrusader I would have never have did the application, if you didnt provide the assistance. Thank you! Thank you! Best wishes to you.

Congrats!
Which Cap One did you get a starting credit limit of $1000.00?
To check for yourself try the link Capital One pre-qualify. I recieved the Capital One Platinum CC. Now I need one more, probably secured so I can establish a $3000+ credit limit. Good luck Wamcon.
