How old is the tax lien??? I'm assuming it's not paid yet??

Edited to add: You may really want to clear up that tax lien if you are able to. I had one back in 2002 for a whooping 100.00 ( my tax guy screwed me). I paid it almost immediately once I found out, and it has not had that much of an affect on my credit card shopping sprees!! I think I have had one denial due to it. My only other denial is because of inquiries.
You are going to have more trouble getting approved for any CC until that is paid and showing released on your credit report. Don't mean to bring you down, but I honesttly believe that you will have alot more success with it being paid.
