Definitely call. I did and was approved. It's an awesome card! I called 888-270-2127 (App recon). Good luck!!

Chase wouldn't talk to me until I had the letter in hand. Once I had the letter it took about five minutes on the phone to get approved.

Try the automated app status hotline first. I got a 10 day notice but when I called the app status hotline the next day they said I was already approved. I still called recon to get a CLI though.

I called immediately. The CSR put me on hold for a minute, asked me why I wanted the card, and then approved me. Just goes to show-YMMV.

Not sure if it matters which # you call, but I had better luck with my CLI recon by calling 1-888-245-0625 instead of 1-888-270-2127.
