B+ on Vantage or something else? B+ on Vantage is pretty high.

Re: CHASE SLATE CARD

I don't know.  the website is called "know before you apply".
I thought it came from Chase--now
I don't know.

Information anyone????

My Equifax went down 4 points.  First time it has changed in over a year.  I did use quite alot of my credit for dental expenses.  It's at 15% and going to go up. probably to 25%.  Ouch.  Had to do it though.

Re: CHASE SLATE CARD

My plain vanilla Chase starter card just got changed to a Slate. I'm not actually clear if it  has any new features though.

Re: CHASE SLATE CARD

Yeah my Chase got changed to Slate too. I think the whole Chase blueprint thing is way too complex. Just pay as much of the card as you can afford or pay in full.

Re: CHASE SLATE CARD

I just got a chase slate pre approval in the mail the other day.
On my pre approval it said my interest rate would be 8%!

HOWEVER, it did not say anything about 12 months interest free on purchases/balance transfers...
I am seeing on CHASE SLATE offer websites, that the intro offer IS 12 mo. interest free on both purchases & transfers...so I am confused.

Has anyone else received an offer like this? 8% but without any mention of 12 months no interest?
Considered applying, but not with those terms. Wonder if I can get them to apply that to my offer? Hmmm.

Re: CHASE SLATE CARD

Chase is switching lots of people over to Slate.

My Chase account goes back to 1994; it was originally First USA, which got acquired by Bank One, which in turn got acquired by Chase (I think Chase bought Bank One about six years ago).  Oddly enough even today their frequent Account Review soft pulls appear on my credit reports as "First USA."

Recently Chase switched me and my wife (who is an Authorized User on my Chase account, plus a Citi Diamond Preferred Card that is in her name only) over to Slate Cards.  We hadn't asked for a product change, one day the new cards just appeared in the mail.  Same credit limit, all the transaction history carried over, and the cards have "since 1994" printed on them.  My wife and I pay little attention to the various bells and whistles, we just buy stuff and pay the full balance every month as usual.  My APR went from 5.25% to the current 11.99% before the product change at about the same time as everybody raised our credit card rates; while the only interest rate of any practical importance for us is the fixed rate on our mortgage we both were somewhat offended by all the ratejacking since neither my wife nor I fits any plausible definition of a "high risk" customer.

Of all the ratejacking, the one I personally found most offensive was American Express because I've had an account with them since 1982 with an excellent payment history.

TU 791 02/11/2013, EQ 800 1/29/2011 , EX Plus FAKO 812, EX Vantage Score 955 3/19/2010 wife's EQ 9/23/2009 803
EX always was my highest when we could pull all three
Always remember: big print giveth, small print taketh away

If it isn't mentioned in the pre-app offer you won't get it. You could either call and ask for it or app through an online channel that is offering it.

Re: CHASE SLATE CARD

It isnt a product change, Chase is just rebranding their cards.
