Not my choice, but the economy didn't give me an option...Anyway...still unemployed but continued sending payments to Chase. Not the required payments but sending what I could, hoping this would show me making an effort.....Afterall, I didnt receive a BAIL-OUT......anyhow, went online last month to make a payment to Chase, and to my surprise, they had turned me over to a collection agency (no notification whatsoever). My question is....Can they do this to a consumer who was sending in payments and they were accepting them and cashing them?????
Unfortunately, yes.
If you were not sending in the amount that was due on the statement, they can turn over on you.
I have 3 cards with them...Chase Freedom, Free Cash Rewards (another Freedom card now I think), and a PerfectCard (ex-Wamu). The only card that has received a CLI has been the ex-Wamu...when it was still with Wamu!! Now they sit with their "ok" limits. But honestly, I love my Freedom card. The rewards are better than any other card I have right now (I have the old program). I have to say though... I HATE having to call them for anything. Their CSRs are programmed to sell you stuff that you do not need. They're like car salesman...LOL!
Does anyone know which CRA they use to pull credit, or does it depend on which state (Calif. for me) you reside in?
