CITI Diamond Card

Last night I apped for this card.

The response was app pending further review. I called and the automated system transferred me to a rep but the dept. is closed until Monday.

I have a fraud alert so I'm wondering if they need to verify some info or does this mean it was denied?

Re: CITI Diamond Card

That card is pointless anyway. I have one and not sure why I keep it open. Those ThankYou points are a waste. Most the time you can get a cheaper hotel rate booking direct at the hotels website. The SPG from American Express is one of the best.

Just got back from CA Central Coast. Stayed seven nights. I checked prices thru Amex and before I booked I decided to check prices thru the hotels website. To my surprise the hotels website was $124.00 cheaper on a seven night stay. Needless to say which way I went. So far I'm not impressed with Amex Green Card rewards. Maybe because I still don't fully understand it? I think I like my Chase PerfectCard better. Very easy to understand. 3% gas and 1% everything else.

I have a Citi Platinum Select and it is useless to me. It has no reward program; just some weak discounts program. If you app for the Diamond Preferred make sure it is the one with Citi "ThankYou" point rewards!
