CLI advice

Quick question. Is it better to ask for a CLI with low utilization or high utilization on that particular card?

Re: CLI advice

It seems as though people get clis on cards with all kinds of util, but the general consensus seems to be the most effective way to get a larger increase is to make heavy use of the card and pay in full every month.

Amex Everyday 6k || Chase Sapphire 5k || Buypower Card 5k || USAA Wounded Warrior Mastercard 4k || Citi TYP 4.9k|| Citi Forward 5.5k || Discover It 2k || Chase Freedom 5.5k || Walmart 1k || Chase Amazon 1k
Business: Chase ink cash 5k || AMEX Simply Cash 3.8k
Total CLs: 48.7k

Low Utili of course play 9% rules then your change get approved should be higher.

I see many ppl get denied with high Utili higher like 30% to 70%

  • Charge everything on that card
  • Dont get them closed to 60 %
  • Paid them and leave small balance 5 to 7 days before you ask for CLI.
  • Good Luck.
