I recently was denied my first CLI request ever. The card has been open 9 months, never late, $0 balance, with heavy use. The reasons they cited were....
1. serious delinquency on record (a paid CO for 1k 5yrs ago, and a paid SL CO also 5 yrs ago)
2. too many new accounts (3 new cards opened.. 1 in july, 1 in august, and 1 in september)
3. number of inquiries ( 7 on TU, 5 on EQ, and 8 on EX)
after getting that response, Im not really wanting to ask for another CLI on other cards such as my 4th statement WM card that I hear so much about. Should I wait until these COs fall off? how long should my accounts age? and whats a good number of inquiries to have? I had to put in a few apps for apartments and the rebuilding process takes credit to make credit.
