Re: CLI on a Meijer (Comenity) card?

Update on the updated update:   I called Comenity to find out what gives. This guy told me I would be eligible after the closing date for this upcoming statement. So, it's really essentially seven statements. More to come in the continuing and riveting tale of Why I Can Only Use My Meijer Card for a Couple Tanks of Gas Smiley Sad

And, the morning after the seventh statement hit..... a whopping $250 increase. It was as expected, but disappointing noneltheless.

Re: CLI on a Meijer (Comenity) card?

I got this card in January with a $28,000 limit.  I have hit the luv button every day since it came in the mail.  Each time they have given me $1,000.  I am now up to $125,000 limit.  Then I woke up and realized the only thing the card is good for is the gas discount, so I was happy I was dreaming all this.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.

Exactly! Now I'm up to about three tanks, unless prices keep going up Smiley Sad

I envy you. Between work and life, I drive an awful lot.

Well where I am being transferred to has great subways and horrible driving.  I will also be able to either walk across the street to work or at least a short distance.  I will more than likely live a very short distance from either a grocery store or a market.  Restaurants will also be very inexpensive and everywhere.  The drawbacks will be they all speak a language I am not fluent, some people will try and cheat me becuase I am from another country (they don't know I have experience with this already), and they beep at you to get out of the way even when you have the right of way.  The benefits are an increase in salary, where the money goes further, and that I am a foreigner so I can ignore all the silly rules while I say I don't understand perfectly in their language.  I learned that if you say you don't understand enough they give up and let you do things easier.  I have said it so much from the last time that I lived there that I will say it perfectly in their language and they won't seem to get the connection that I might actually speak some of their language.

I will give you a hint as to which country it is.  Donald Trump said he didn't like the country, but with the first meeting his administration had with them 12 of his patents in that country got approved the next day.  It is a country where it is hard to get foreign patents and foreign companies did not used to be allowed 100% ownership of their company only 49%.  It has the largest population in the world.  It is below Russia.  Their longest term enemy is Japan because with almost every war they have had with them they lost.  (Yes a tiny island used to always beat up on this other country country.)  They love America there, except the lower level members of the Red Guard.  They are the largest holder of our debt.  They are above Vietnam.  The British used to have 100 year lease on their largest economic center.  They build islands to claim territory.  And finally, they held the 2008 Summer Olympics.

I hope the hints are too hard.

Wow! That's quite a transfer! A friend of mine has spent time in China and I will always remember her talking about what you can buy at the street markets. Good luck and I guess you won't be needing that Meijer card Smiley Happy

Probably not, but I do wonder if I can use my Walmart card at Walmart there......

I did just stock up on a few new cards though; Ally, PenFed, Marvel, US Bank, BofA Flight rewards, and Wells Fargo Cash Wise.  I figure it will be a long time before I can app again so why not go all out and get some nice 12 month 0% promos plus the initial spend.
