CLI question

Does anyone know when you have for a CLI ,does it affect your credit score? Is it a hard or soft inquiry...

Depends on the creditor whether or not its a hard or soft. Chase is always hard, BOA is almost always soft. If it's a hard, it will probably ding your score a couple of points, soft is no harm to the score.

Yeah depends on the card but most of them will give you a soft pull.

I just called Cap 1 and they did an internal review, no pull at all.

Sears did an auto increase, no pull at all.

I'm working hard towards no inquiries while I'm going through the home buying process.

Ok, well . I just called to Lord and Taylor and GEMB card . I asked for CLI  and the gut put me on hold and said he was unable to give me increase but would send out a letter.. They never did that tome before so  was wondering if it was a hard or soft inq?
