Now I am confused. There is a huge difference between 760 and no derog's and 660 with unspecified derog's. I wouldn't apply for anything further until your CBR's are cleaned up and you are presenting the former and not the latter. Then consider a nice CU like Alliant. You need to break out of that $500 CL - the sooner the better.

the other thing is that if you are at 84% overall uti, you're maxed out-not a good time to app. in most cases.

Agreed, 84% uti is not exactly the best position to be in when looking for new credit.

tx,

Thanks for the heads up.  DH asked for and was approved for $8,000.  Called in after he received the card and asked for CLI - they upped it to $11,500.  That's a good help with util. right now and later when we'll be using the card (dang dental insurance*%&$**).  RE: Other GEMB accounts.  He formerly had a GEMB (Penney's) which he closed long ago - not pristinely handled, but PIF.

Super Congrats!

Just be sure to shop Dental providers who will offer you the interest free plans.  Otherwise the APR is horrible day 1, 22-24%
