CLI with Comenity bank store cards?

Just curious on when they usually give you an CLI. I have tried the luv button (a few times Smiley Happy  )

However since i have only had my cards with them since Jan and Feb 2014 they haven't given me a increase yet (which i understand)

I know usually its after at least 6 months but has anyone got a increase sooner? And how much have you recieved?

I have VS, Kingsize and Mandee cards. Incase the store makes a difference. Kingsize i dont use that much but the other two i do.

Thanks for any info!

Re: CLI with Comenity bank store cards?

I don't know about your cards but for me, I have my J Crew card back in end of February of 2014 and tried the love button yesterday - instant  increased to 1100$ from $800. Never used the card once....

Re: CLI with Comenity bank store cards?

with my Jcrew card, i request an increase every month, and get a $200 addition.  I used it alot at the beginning, but not much anymore. Sometimes, i even got it twice in a month.

Re: CLI with Comenity bank store cards?

Long time lurker of reading the boards. TatorTodd, I'm wondering if when hitting the love button whether or not you incur another inquiry? Or is it similar to a soft pull when requesting CLI with Comenity? Thank you in advance Smiley Happy

Re: CLI with Comenity bank store cards?

Theyre sp. Comenity seems to have their own calender for each card. J Crew and Total Rewards are frequent, Express and My Points are infrequent to name a few.

The guideline for many of the store cards is 9 months for initial CLI and then every 4 months after.  My VS and Gold Violin are at the 8 month mark now, and I'm getting impatient!  The LUV button hasn't worked yet.

Some store cards are an exception.  J Crew seems to offer instant CLIs.

Re: CLI with Comenity bank store cards?

I have 4 cards with Commenity. My VS did not give me a cli until my 9th statement. I hit the luv button when my 9th statement cut and they gave me a cli of 300. I signed in today to make a payment ( a week later ) and they had given me another cli of 200. On my HSN card, I was given a cli on my 6th statement and on Brylane was given one on the 9th statement. I have a Pier1 and I hit the luv button when I received the card and got a nice bump before I even used it.

+1

For example this morning i was just loafing on my 2 month old JCrew account and out of curiosity pressed the luv button and it immediately answered back in the affirmative for a $200 CLI. I'll take it, brought that card to an even 1000. On the other hand after that bit of good news i repeated the same action for VS, KS, JL, and BH, all of which were approved at least 3-4 months sooner and with useage then PIF. Those results returned a different story, 7-10 day message which i assume means those cards haven't reached their designated calender eligibility yet,

Re: CLI with Comenity bank store cards?

Its definitely a soft pull.  I hit the luv button every week, sometimes more, just to see.  They just send me letters saying my CL was recently increased, and cannot be increased again, so soon.  Sometimes I get a letter from them almost every day of the week Smiley Happy onetime i got 8 letters from them at once, haha
