No personal experience, but I've read some accounts (unconfirmed) where Chase has waived the 5/24 if the applicant has no prior Chase relationship.  In this case, I think it's worth the risk to app for the 50K.

looks like chase freedom is at $150, plus $25 if an AU makes a purchase.

Yes, DM got her CSP 2 months ago and she called in and asked, and the women she spoke with said people have been calling in all day and requesting it so.. (The women said she would see the points on the next statement)

Chase definitely knows how to threat their customer if they like you..  They are probably the most generous on matching bonuses if you apply before or after within reason.
